Pentecost Baptisms: A Holy Movement

Good morning, everyone—and welcome!

We are standing together today in the middle of a historic, holy moment.

This isn’t just a local gathering. This is a national movement—a wave of repentance, obedience, and public confession sweeping across this nation. Churches and believers from every background and every denomination are stepping into the water today—on Pentecost—because this is a moment marked by God Himself.

We’re not just remembering what God did long ago… we are stepping into what He’s doing right now.

🔥 Why Pentecost?

Pentecost—also called Shavuot—is one of God’s appointed times.

• At Mount Sinai, God descended in fire and gave His people the Torah, His covenant.

• In Jerusalem, on the same day generations later, He descended again—this time with fire upon the heads of the believers—and gave them the Holy Spirit, writing His law on their hearts.

“When the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all together in one accord... and suddenly there came a sound from heaven... and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.” – Acts 2:1–4

It was on this very day that 3,000 people repented and were baptized:

“Peter said to them, ‘Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’”– Acts 2:38

🧭 What is Repentance?

Repentance means to turn—to change direction. It’s when you say: "I’ve gone my own way long enough. I’m done running. I’m ready to follow Jesus."

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” – Acts 3:19

Repentance is not just feeling sorry—it’s surrender. It’s where the old life ends… and the new life begins.

💧 What is Baptism?

Baptism is your public declaration that you belong to Jesus.

It is symbolic of death, burial, and resurrection:

• Going down into the water represents dying to sin and self and dying to your old identity.

• Coming out of the water represents new life through Christ, breaking the waters like childbirth, being born again. Into the kingdom, as a new creation. As His.

“We were buried with Him through baptism into death… so that just as Christ was raised from the dead… we too may walk in newness of life.” – Romans 6:4

And on Pentecost, baptism was the response to receiving the truth of the gospel and being cut to the heart. It is the next step for anyone who believes.

“Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.” – Acts 2:41

🕊 Expect the Holy Spirit

We don’t believe today is just symbolic. We believe it is supernatural.

Just as the Holy Spirit fell on Pentecost in Acts 2, we believe He still falls today—on all who repent and believe.

“You will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” – Acts 2:38“In the last days, I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh…” – Acts 2:17

🤝 The Power of Unity

In both Sinai and Acts 2, there was something else present: Unity.

“They were all together in one place, in one accord.” – Acts 2:1“And all the people stood at the base of the mountain.” – Exodus 19:17

That same spirit of unity is here today. Not just among us, but among thousands of others across America who are stepping into the water today in obedience and faith.

We are part of something much bigger than ourselves. This is about the Body of Messiah coming together in unity—not around a denomination, but around Jesus.

🚶 What to Expect When You Walk Down

When you step into the water today:

• Come with expectation. Come with faith. Come ready for God to meet you.

• We will ask you a simple question about your belief in Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

• You’ll be immersed in the name of Yeshua—Jesus—the name above every name.

• And as you come out of the water, you are not only clean—you are His.

So now, we invite you: If you’ve repented—if you’re ready to leave the old behind and walk in newness of life—then today is your day.

Let this Pentecost be the day everything changes.

Let the Spirit fall. Let unity reign. Let the water part. And let the Bride arise.
